Had this rather sad looking McCulloch mower in for service.  It's one of the front wheel drive machines and both front wheels were splayed outwards and running rough. Needs two front wheels replacing as the teeth are stripped out.

Hi Mick,

What do you think of the quality of these lawnmowers. I personally feel that the quality just is not there any more.

Not really sure the words machine and quality can be used in the same sentence lol..  It's a cheap tin deck mower built to a price.

That goes for a lot of the modern machines to be honest.  They all seem to be churned out of the same factory in China, with different branding and slight differences in build.

Hi Mick,

I agree totally. The words functional machine and quality do not describe these items made in China. I expect you have heard the same response from the owners when you tell them the cost for repairs;2Its'scheaper to buy a new one".

Kevin, it actually surprises me just how many people are willing to have their cheap machines serviced even after saying it's going to cost them £90.00 + parts +vat

Some of the older budget machines I'm sure they paid less than that to buy the machine in the first place.
