Right....now it starts /runs and behave like a mower should...but....after about 10 mins i have oil smoke from the side nearest the engine from the exhaust....by the time its cooled down and the exhaust removed it not obvious where it from....so i re/sealed the breather...checked the dipstick extension tube..lower engine seal is dry...its not coming out ot the exhaust deffinatly behind it...and ideas

What machine are we talking about?

The only thing behind the silencer is the valve cover / breather assy.  All I can suggest is give it all a good clean down and run it as long as you can to see if the smoke clears up. It takes quite a while to burn off any excess oil in and around the exhaust.

It's worth a try, and if it doesn't clear then we'll have to look into it further. At least if you clean it up you should be able to spot anything leaking onto the exhaust.
