Asking for a friend who often repairs G/ machinery.
What is the air gap between the coil / sensor and the tigger / magneto rotor ?
Two items that have run recently seem suddenly to have high compression, can't be coked up, correct length plug timing right, anyone any ideas, has Simone else experienced this?
       Thanks regards ratt

Mick

Hi ratt, and welcome to TGMF.

Do you know what model Stihl Strimmers they are?

You won't go far wrong with 10 thou of an inch for the air gap.   If the compression has changed I'm guessing they have 4-Mix engines on both the machines and the tappets need adjusting, or the decompressors have failed.

No problem.  Just remember the decompressor issue would only apply if it has a 4-mix engine.  Likewise regarding adjustment of the tappets . ;)
