Im looking for some help and assistance with the above mower.
The drive belt snapped, I stripped it and ordered the new belt.
Wrong size too small! I ordered another quoting serial number of machine too small again.
No-one can apparently supply the correct belt.
Ive fitted the last belt but the machine wont go into gear. If I start it in gear it does drive but wont come out of gear, clutch doesn't disengage.
It has gears so not the hydrostatic axle
The service manual shows 6 pulley wheels but mine has 8 pulleys. See drawings below
I cant find any reference to the 8 pulley drivetrain.
Does anyone have any ideas
Thanks for reading

Mick

Hi, and welcome to TGMForum.

I don't have honda parts manuals to hand, but a quick google search I found this one, which if you count the engine and gearbox pulley it has 8 pulleys.

https://honda.gardening-parts.com/honda-gardening/RIDING%20MOWERS/HF/HF2216/GEARBOX-SE-SLE--1-/1601/B8/0/1601

This give a part number for the belt which is, 80478-VK1-003  Is this a different number from the one you were supplied?

Thank you so much for help and assistance, drive restored!! Now to attack the deck reconstruction, hope Ive kept all the parts !! Thanks so much ..common sense in a world of AI slop.
Do you have the spare parts list for the cutting deck ? cheers

Mick

Glad you got the drive sorted.

I don't have the parts manual but if you find and post the the full model code I might be able to find one for you. There's so many variants.

Touching on the AI stuff. Yes it does my head in. It can be really handy if used for the right stuff and in the right way, but people use it just to create content for social media, and its mainly useless and inaccurate slop as you said.  To be honest I look at Facebook now and it's not just AI slop it's completely nonsense posts just to get a reaction and clicks.  People who comment and react don't seem to realise they are just adding fuel to the fire.
