HI Lads, any one know where I can get a Flywheel re energized?

Got a lovely old Webb cylinder, requires a replacement flywheel or get it magnetized for the old lad down the road. Hes had it 38 years and it looks pristine still.

Hi, and welcome to TGMForum.

To be honest I don't know anyone who can do it, I've never had to have this done.  Is this solid state version or a points version?

Solid state Mick.
I'm not entirely sure which engine is on it, its not  Briggs. The old fella informs me he bought it new 38 years ago!
ill get some more pictures and see if anyone has an engine that may be of the era?

Mick

Engine would be a  A114 or A98 from memory, I haven't touched one for a while.  It's the same engine as used on the Suffolk Punch etc from that period.  The first engines blocks were cast iron, then they went to aluminium blocks.  I think the ignition parts are interchangeable, but, you have to have the matching stator and flywheel from one or the other to work properly.  In other words, stator and flywheel must come as a pair off one or the other.  Reason is the A114 has different magnets in the flywheel and a single pole stator, while the A98 has a two pole stator.

Pretty sure this is correct it's been such a long time since I messed about with one.
