Hi all.

Has anyone with a Honda HRX 537 had any problems with the mulch lever sticking?
It has been getting worse recently but had it serviced in February and the workshop obviously sprayed it with something and partly free;d it up but it has seized solid this time .
Would this be something I could complain to Honda about and see if it could be sorted under warranty or am I going to have to pay to get it sorted again.
I will look forward to any comments/ ideas.
THANKZ

Mick

Hi Pinky, and welcome to TGMForum.

I doubt you'll get anywhere with warranty, but you could ask your local dealer their opinion on this.  Trouble with that mulch system is the fine grass and dust gets built up between the mulch flap and the deck. Removing and cleaning out the system normally fixes it for a while, but IMO it's something that need moving back and forth a few times on a regular basis to stop it from getting stuck.

Hi Mick.

Thanks for the welcome and reply.
I was thinking along the lines of what you said but I will ask the dealer when I take it to get serviced later this year .
Thanks again.

Mick

IMO if it's going in for a full service then that should be taken care of as part of it. ;)

I know some service work just involves changing oil air filter and spark plug, sharpen and balance, or replace blade.  But in all honesty that's just general maintenance.  A proper service is much more involved.
