Hi everyone,

I see a lot of problems caused by machines full of stale fuel. Over the last few months I have accumulated about 30-40 litres of the stuff and I am at a loss to know what to do with it. I can't take it to the local tip because in the county I live in none of the tips take it.

Any ideas?

Rach

I use it for cleaning my garden equipment or pouring on weeds and ants etc, I also use it to burn tree cuttings as it helps me get the cuttings burnt quickly before the neighbours moan.

I'm sure I've heard that some people mix it with new fuel for their mowers etc so I'd suggest asking on a local Facebook group as there may be someone out there who it may be of some use to.

Or if you're ever heading somewhere that has a nearby car breakers yard, drop it off there.

Try to find a friendly garage or mower dealer who would be willing to add it to their waste. They will probably charge a small fee as they have to pay to dispose of it.

Or contact you local council and see if they have alternative options available.
