Dug out my old Merry Tiller today.  It's been sitting outside with a old barbeque lid over the engine. Started after about five pulls and apart from the throttle cable being seized up it worked fine.

This machine when I picked it up it had a rather worn out 4HP engine on it,  so I stuck a 5HP Briggs on as as you can see here.  I was operating tiller with one hand while filming on my phone.  Also notice it still has the original Eastern Tractors sticker on it, they supplied the machine originally all those years ago. I also worked for Eastern Tractors some years ago.

Brings back memories of my grandads allotment, around 1995 he brought a second hand rotavator, was a well built, strong machine like yours, thing I remember the most about it is that it didn't have a pull string, it had a handle that you turn so many times, then fold it over and let go, like a wind up toy.

Just googled and found a mower with the same kind of thing, the mower is the same colour as grandads rotavator  ;D
