When replacing the gearbox on your lawnmower, always replace the clutch cable at the same time. Otherwise the life of your new gearbox could be shortened considerably.

Makes a lot of sense, Mick. I've done this but by sheer luck I suppose. Never considered that one impacts the other a lot.

Hi and welcome to TGMF.  ;)

I find this especially important with Honda mowers, as they usually have a coated inner cable and that roughens and restricts the movement.
