Weibang 77 drive problems?

Hi Guys, recently bought a twin blade 77 Weibang 77 second hand. Upon using it this thing is a brute, very heavy and drive did not fully engage on the right hand side so always struggling to keep a straight line. Got it home, (I am not a professional mechanic but know a we bit about machines) lifted up, started machine and expected cogs on inside of wheels to be stripped but they were not. When drive engaged the left hand side works fine, the right which causing problem turns cog but pressure against it just stops. Shifted machine on its side to look underneath and I 'think' that is has a split differential on the shaft? My thoughts is the spline has worn the teeth or the differntal is knackered? If it is I personally think the shaft and diff are too small for such a big machine? Any thoughts or tips or spares as guy I bought it off said he sent it to shop with same problem but the shop said there was nothing wrong with it and that is how these things work so I am now stuck with a lemon. Cheers Guys

hi brido iv had smilair issue with a different branded machine I removed off drive cog found out it was worn and replaced it worked perfectly after that, could also be the pin that cog catches just need a little lube.

I've not actually been inside the gearbox on one of these yet.  But I would have thought, if you engage the drive without the engine running you should be able to see if the wheels are turning the shafts into the gearbox. If one shaft is still turning then there's an issue inside the box.

It looks to be the actual axle itself mate

You mean one side isn't turning? From what I can see it's a one piece shaft that runs through the gearbox, and on each end is a pinion with one way ratchet or clutch.  Do you by chance have a link to a parts list for this machine?
