Hi all does anyone know if you can adjust RPMs on cobra mowers because mine sounds quite low at full throttle if you can how do you adjust. Got the rm40spc. thanks

Mick

Hi.  If you can post a photo of the carb side of the engine I can edit the photo pinpointing where and what to adjust.  A photo of the linkage will be helpful.

Hiya mick here pictures you wanted

Mick

Mike, the screw arrowed in this photo should adjust the RPM, it basically just adds tension to the governor spring.

From memory, screwing in will increase the speed. It's a while since I touched one as I'm setting up shop from home. Around 3000 - 3100 should be fine.

Cheers mick it's now running at 3000rpm from 2880 give or take 10% from the tachometer accuracy  sounds great now and a improvement on cutting grass.
