New Hayter Harrier 41 375A
« on: November 05, 2017, 12:02:09 AM »
Had two of these so far with cable issues, one had a variable speed control which had gone loose and wouldn't hold in slow speed.  The control unit is really crappy if I'm honest.  :o  And a broken clutch cable (at the gearbox end)

The other machine also had a broken clutch cable at the gearbox end.

Not the nicest job to replace tbh.

Actually serviced one of these today, without having to fit any cables.  8)

One thing though, wonder who had the brainwave to put that silly little loose fitting spacer in the chain cover.  ???

From what I hear they have now upgraded the variable speed control cable, because the original one was so badly made that the cable would pull out.  I've just replaced another one, so we'll see how it goes this time.
