Weibang 48V

Changed the gearbox on a Weibang 48V today. Fairly easy job apart from getting hold of the correct clutch cable to go with it.  UK distributor supplied the gearbox and cable together but the cable is completely different from the original, and it doesn't fit.

It reminded me as to why I don't like repairing Weibang machines.  :(

Must say, after the experience I've had obtaining a clutch cable for a year old machine, don't think I'd touch one of these with a extremely long pole. It seems they don't make the original cable for this machine, an the new replacement has the adjuster in the wrong place, and is too long, so no adjustment left. Deep joy.
