Flymo XLT 250 lite (Clutch?)

Hi there.

My question is; does this machine have a centrifugal clutch? I should know as I did use it quite a lot after it was given to me, though it was some years ago.

I haven't used it for a few years so I have forgotten. It's just that when I pull the starter cord the whole thing turns (flexible shaft, strimmer head). This means that it is too hard to spin the engine fast enough to get it started. (I hope all this makes sense). I thought all these macbines had centrifugal clutches. If this is the case then it means that I have a problem with the clutch.

I don't see many of those Flymo machines nowadays, but I'm almost certain they are direct drive which means there's no clutch. I will see if I can find a parts list and take look to confirm.

If you look on page 6 it shows part 23 as a "Coupling-Drive", this would also double up as the nut for securing the flywheel to the crankshaft. 

So it's basically doing as it should. Hope this helps.
