Is there a name for this part?

Hi,

I wondered if anyone here might know what a specific part is called that I need to find to (hopefully) fix a lawnmower.

The mower is a Qualcast Mow 'n' Trim, and the part is the bit that the replaceable blades clip onto.

These clip onto a part that sticks out and was in this hole until it just wasn't one day during mowing!

If I can find out what this bit is called I might have a chance of finding a replacement. No idea where the original went, I can't find it anywhere near where I was mowing and it's just a small garden.

thanks!

Rach

Hi,

If it is number 52 on this diagram, they call it a fan:

Other names for them are: blade boss, cutting disk, mounting disk, impeller, safety cutting disc.

Not sure if this part is the same as there isn't a picture of the lower side:

This one on eBay looks similar to yours going by the shape / groove in the plastic where the stud came away from.

Shred, welcome to TGMF.

As Rach said, It's not supplied separately so you'll either need to improvise, or change the whole fan. If you decide to improvise please note you could upset the balance drastically and ruin the motor.

Thanks for the replies. This is an image showing the full disk,,,

The "MP1" (I think) didn't get me any further in searches. Think I might need to take the disk off next, see if there are clues on the top side!
