Just a tip.  If you suck up a stone or similar hard object with your blower / vac, stop switch off and inspect the fan for damage.  If you've knocked a fan blade or two off then the extra vibration will quite rapidly destroy the rest of the machine.  Any damage go get a new fan fitted.
