Stihl Sealed for life gear heads

If concerned that your STIHL sealed for life gear head on your strimmer / brushcutter running low on grease, you'll noticed these units being "sealed for life" no longer have a grease bung. So how do you get grease into them.

Well there is a way to do this.  You need to remove the gear head from the main tube, then with a needle grease gun or syringe you can inject grease through the input gear where the drive shaft would normally locate. It's a bit of faffing around but might just save your gear head.
