Safety Tip: Don't run your mower on the work bench

See this a lot on youtube and also in the workplace, running mowers on the workbench is a bad idea for so many reasons.  Please try to run them on the floor.

When I worked in the horti workshop at Eastern Tractors some years ago, I remember one of the guys had just repaired / serviced a rotary mower and started it up on the bench. The vibration from the machine will move anything laying on the bench and he didn't realise the old blade was on the bench.  The blade vibrated itself under the machine and it spat it out right where he was standing, the old blunt blade cut right into his thigh right down to the bone needing several stiches.

This practice really should be avoided for your own safety.  This applies to any other objects laying on the bench such as nuts bolts, tools etc.

Stay safe.  ;)
