Seems we have a fuel shortage in Essex.

Went to get some diesel this morning to get to work, greeted at the local garage with signs saying Sorry no Diesel. So drove another five miles to the next nearest petrol station, all pumps were out of order, I suspect due to no fuel again.

Went home looked up a few stations which I could get to with the remaining fuel left in my car, and gave them a call.   All of them are out of Diesel.

I knew things were getting bad, but never seen it like this before.  What's the situation where you live?

Well a update on this, yes it's a bit late but.  I rang my local petrol station and asked when they were likely to have a delivery, I was told mid day and to ring back at 1pm to check.  I drove up there at 1pm and was pleasantly surprised the pumps were open again.

I stupidly put my normal amount of £30 worth of diesel in my car, since then it's gone crazy, panic buying queues everywhere and I suspect I will struggle to get my next fill.

If I had put more than usual in my car to make sure I'd be as bad as the panic buyers, you just can't win sometimes.

I believe it was your original post on the shortage that caused it all Mick. ;D  ;D  ;D
