Hi guys, I have just restored a broken mower, (just a new deck, starter string, blade and service) it's old 1990s I think, it was my grandads old mower, all back together and looking good, however I have found a spring on the garage floor, not sure if it's from the mower or some other project, hopefully someone on here may know,I did see a similar spring in the spare parts website but it's not clear where it gos! Can't find a manual for the mower. The Mower seems to work ok but if it's supposed to go somewhere, best to put it back, any help appreciated!the mower is a mcculloch 460sde,

Mick

Hi redden, and welcome to TGMForum.

If that's the spring you have then it fits between the two handle height adjuster plates low down on the handled.  Each side of the machine you'll have two adjuster plates, and that spring goes between them.  One side I'm guessing has it missing. ;)

Hi Mick, thanks taking the time to answer!  I will check that out, see if it's missing on one side,

No problem.

The spring I have marked in the parts list, number 17  ;)
