Lawnflite 553hrs- pro-hs roller not striping my lawn very well

Hi , my Lawnflite 553hrs pro-hs pedestrian roller isn't striping my lawn very well and is only giving the faintest of stripes I've had it about 5 months and it's  about 5 years old the mower is it time for a new blade or is it because of the type of grass that I'm cutting isn't rich and green? These mowers are usually really good for striping and the stripes don't look good and are hardly visible . Any advice would be greatly appreciated 👍

Hi Georgep785, and welcome to TGMF.

The stripe is caused buy bending the grass in opposite directions, and how the light hits it. So as long as it's cutting ok and each strip rolled in opposite direction you should see the stripe.

You could try cutting in a different direction and see if the light makes a difference, but this might not be possible depending on the shape of your lawn.
