Hi. Got a Honda gcv160 on a Hayter 41 pro. Was running a little bit rough so took carb apart. Cleaned the holes with carb cleaner etc. put together and now fuel comes out of the bolt at the bottom of the bowl. Yes it's tight. Have I missed something?
I took the bowl off again and the float was pointing half way between horizontal and vertical. Does that help Mick?

What a pain these engines are compared to Briggs quantum engines.

Greg two possibilities if it's coming from around the actual bowl bolt.

One: there should be a fibre washer on that bowl bolt, and that could be missing.

Two: The bowl has bee done up really tight without it being located properly in the carb body, this normally bends the bottom of the bowl up so when you do locate it properly the bow isn't getting pushed against it's top gasket.

Ok thanks Mick. There's a fibre washer. And the second time I put it together I used a spanner and didn't go mad with the tightness. So maybe just not positioned right. 🤔

Hopefully you got this sorted, let us know how it went.  ;)

Hi mick. Took bowl off and realised when someone had worked on it before they had badly scratched top of the bowl so wasn't smooth when I put it on. So smoothed it out and used new washer and all good now.
